In Boerne, Texas

It was time to leave Abilene State Park and head south. It was 44 when we left on Wednesday, 11/23 and it had been cooler earlier in the week. To cold for us Florida people, but we did have fun and got to see a lot of deer in the campground. So we headed south to Boerne, Texas and the Alamo Fiesta RV Resort. This is a nice campground close to the Interstate, so you get some noise, but they had a great Turkey dinner for us on Thanksgiving. We had dinner with about 25 other campers and everyone brought a covered dish. Yum, Yum!!

We are so blessed to be on this trip and it is hitting us that we only have about 50 more days on the road until we get back to Port Orange, Florida. It is sort of sad, no it is sad, but what a great adventure Suzanne and I have had. The memories of this trip will be with us the remainder of our lives. But it is only one chapter in our lives that will come to an end. There are going to be more chapters as we make more memories.

I may have posted this before but I think it needs to be done again. I found this somewhere on the internet....

Do not put off living the life you dream of. Next year may never come. If we are always waiting for something to change ... retirement, the kids to leave home, the weather or the economy, that's not living. That's waiting! Waiting will only leave us with unrealized dreams and empty wishes.

We still have some more places to visit as we head to Birmingham, Alabama for Christmas. So keep checking back as we continue on our fantastic journey!!
