Driving the San Juan Skyway

Took an afternoon drive to Rico, a old mining town, by way of the San Juan Skyway. Another drive that must be done on a motorcycle, put it on your bucket list. The ride was fantastic and the sites were some of the best ever. Snow was all over the mountains and Rico has an elevation of around 8,600 feet. Rico has a population of 100 full timers and during the summer the population grows to 350. Can you imagine living in such a small town? Tomorrow we are going on a drive to Cortez and do some shopping. Temperature tomorrow is a high of 50 and low of 22, burrrrrrrr. Almost forgot our stop at Stoner!!  nothing but a campground and store.
