We went to the Petroglyph National Monument in Albuquerque on Monday 4/11. Albuquerque has one of the largest petroglyph concentrations in North America. Petroglyphs are cultural images pecked into dark boulders along the volcanic cliffs. We hiked around the Boca Negra and Rinconada Canyon petroglyphs and enjoyed the sites. The Rinconada Canyon is suppose to be 2.2 miles, but I think it is more like 4 as we were both tired after finishing the hike. This is our last day in Albuquerque and we have really enjoyed the time spent here.
